The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 8oz New York Strip Steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic herb butter
Instruction
- Allow steaks to come to room temperature on the counter about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Rub with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
- While the oven preheats, heat a cast iron grill pan on the stovetop over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes.
- When the oven is almost preheated, melt the butter in your grill pan.
- Add the steaks to your cast iron pan being sure to place them in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes until browned with grill marks on the bottom. Flip and repeat on the other side.
- Once searing is complete, transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 2 to 6 minutes or when they reach your preferred level of doneness.
