Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 -200 g pkg of Pillsbury Wiener wraps
  • 12 strips bacon (* I used pre-cooked bacon- I buy it from Costco)
  • 2 tsp shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp 1% milk
  • 3 tsp white granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup ( (* I use low sugar)
  • cinnamon sprinkles

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper (or spray with non-stick cooking spray).
  • Grease 12 long wooden skewers with shortening
  • Cut wiener wraps in half and lay 1 slice of pre-cooked bacon on each wiener wrap
  •  Roll up wiener wrap with bacon on a skewer, diagonally.
  • Whisk egg, butter, milk and cinnamon together
  • Brush on egg mixture, then sprinkle on sugar, dividing between all 12 pig tails
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or under light golden brown (as shown)
  •  Cool for 5 minutes, then gently pull out skewer. * It will slide out very easily.
