Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 6-7 bread slices (torn into bite size pieces)
  • 1 small carrot (peeled and chopped fine)
  • 2-3 baby corns (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed ginger
  • 2 green chillies (slit)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoons oil
  • Salt

Instruction

  • Tear the bread into bite size pieces.
  • Chop the vegetables and onion
  • Heat 3 teaspoons oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds,let it crackle.
  • Add the crushed ginger and slit green chillies.Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onions and saute till it turns translucent.
  • Add the chopped veggies and saute well.
  • Add salt,turmeric powder and mix well.Add 1/8 cup water and cook the veggies.
  • Add the bread pieces and toss well
  • Remove from flame,add lemon juice and serve bread upma hot.
