Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 pounds shredded red cabbage
  • 2 medium red onions ((thinly sliced))
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed juniper berries
  • 1 teaspoon each salt and black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instruction

  • Sautee onions and cabbage in butter, then add remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, over low heat until tender (about an hour).
