Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 6 cups red cabbage (chopped)
  • 1 apple (peeled and sliced)
  • ½ onion (slivered)
  • ¼ cup cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • ⅓ cup water (may need more)
  • ⅛ teaspoon cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instruction

  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a low simmer and cover.
  • Cook covered for 90 minutes stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve warm.
