Ingredients

The following ingredients have 2 Servings
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 3/4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 cup luke warm water
  • For infused oil
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chili flakes
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon parsley

Instruction

  • Add 3/4 tablespoon sugar in 1 cup luke warm water. Mix well. Sprinkle 3/4 tablespoon dry yeast over it and let it proof.
  • Once the yeast water turns frothy, take it in a mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 cups wheat flour, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons olive oil and salt. Mix well and start kneading.
  • Knead and make a soft and smooth dough. Let the dough proof for 2 hours. In the mean time let us prepare infused oil.
  • Take 2 tablespoons olive in a small bowl. Add 1 teaspoon minced garlic, chili flakes and dried parsley to it. Mix well and let in infuse well.
  • Now to make braided bread, take the raised dough and punch it back. Knead slightly.
  • Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Take one art of dough and divide into 3 small balls.
  • Roll each ball into thin cylinder.
  • Place the three ropes in parallel and make braid. Make one more read with remaining dough.
  • Brush the braid with infused oil. Cover and rest for 40 minutes.
  • Preheat oven 15 minutes before baking. Bake the raised bread in hot oven for 15-18 minutes. Serve braided garlic bread warm.
