Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 16.3 ounce refrigerated biscuits ( (I used Pillsbury Grands))
- Peanut oil for frying
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon Caramel Bourbon flavored syrup
Instruction
- Heat 2 inches peanut oil in a large pot or Dutch oven to 350 degrees (using a candy thermometer).
- Lay the biscuits on a cutting board and, using a 1 1/2-inch round cookie cutter, cut out a hole from the center of each biscuit.
- Fry the donuts until they are golden brown on the bottom, then flip them with tongs and continue to fry until browned on the other side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the confectioner's sugar, milk and caramel bourbon syrup in a small bowl to form a glaze.
- Once the donuts have cooled slightly, dip each one in the glaze; add sprinkles or chopped nuts.
- Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack and allow the glaze to set.
