Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 25 g butter
  • 4 bacon rashers diced
  • 1 cup button mushrooms sliced
  • 1 onion diced
  • 300 ml thickened cream
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 30 ml sherry
  • 1 pinch Italian mixed herbs *to taste
  • 1 1/2 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbs water
  • 1/2 cup cheese grated optional
  • 1 pinch parsley diced optional *to serve

Instruction

  • Fry bacon, onion and mushrooms in butter and sherry.
  • Add cream, garlic and sour cream. Stir well.
  • Sprinkle in herbs, remaining sherry, cheese and season to taste.
  • Simmer for 1 minute.
  • Mix in water and cornflour and simmer until thick.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.
