Ingredients

The following ingredients have 5 Servings
  • Corn flour - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 3/4 cup
  • Sugar - 2 cups or according to ur taste
  • Cashew nuts or Badam or Melon seeds - required amount
  • Water - 2 to 4 cups
  • Food Colour - any colour of your choice

Instruction

  • Mix the corn flour in 2 cups of water to make cornflour milk and keep it aside.
  • In a non stick pan or kadai boil the sugar along with 2 cups of water.
  • Once boiled add the cornflour milk and start to stir continuously till it comes to a glassy texture.
  • Then add the ghee little by little by stirring constantly.
  • Stir till the halwa starts to roll without sticking in the kadai and the oil will be separating from the halwa.
  • Now add the food colour and the nuts and mix it well for 5 minutes.
  • Then pour it in a greased plate.
  • Leave it for 2 hours and cut in your desired shapes. Totally it takes nearly 20 to 25 minutes to make. Now the tasty Bombay halwa is ready to eat.
