Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup cold butter (cut into cubes)
  • 21 ounces blueberry pie filling ((or 10 ounces jam)*)

Instruction

  • In mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda.
  • Using a pastry blender, cut in the cold butter cubes until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Reserve 1/2 cup of the flour mixture and set aside for the topping.
  • Spray a 9x9 baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Press remaining flour mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Spread the pie filling or jam on top of the flour.
  • Sprinkle with reserved flour mixture.
  • Press the topping gently into the jam with the palms of your hands.
  • Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely, then cut and serve.
