  • 1 large Granny Smith apple (peeled and sliced)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats (also called large flake oats)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (for sprinkling; optional)
