Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp table salt
- 3/4 cup butter softened
- 1-1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp buttermilk
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 tsp Super Red Food Color
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2-3 packages bloodshot candy eyeballs
Instruction
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip softened butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Mix in eggs.
- Add buttermilk, vanilla, and red food color.
- Slowly mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Cover and chill dough at least 4 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Roll chilled dough between hands into 1-1/2″ balls and then roll in confectioners sugar to coat.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 13-14 minutes.
- Immediately after removing from the oven, place the eyeballs on the cookies & press in before they cool.
- Cool on pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
