Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 bag (16 oz) dried black-eyed peas
- 2 cups chopped cooked ham
- 5 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from two 32-oz cartons)
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped onion (1 large)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
Instruction
- Place dried peas in large bowl; add enough cold water to cover. Let stand 8 to 24 hours.
- Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Drain peas; add to slow cooker. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 hours.
