Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups fresh peach slices (or canned peach slices)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add melted butter to a 9x9-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup white sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and vanilla extract, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Pour mixture into the buttered pan and do not stir.
- Add 1 cup brown sugar, peach slices, lemon zest and lemon juice to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Pour mixture uniformly over the batter and do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, if desired.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve cobbler warm with vanilla ice cream..
