Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 1 ½ lbs. ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic (,minced)
  • 1 Tbs. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 can (29 ounces) red kidney beans (,drained and rinsed)
  • 1 jar (15.5 ounces) salsa
  • 1 can (4.5 ounces) chopped green chiles
  • ¼ cup tomato paste

Instruction

  • Cook ground beef, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin and salt in sauce pot over medium-high heat until beef is browned.
  • Stir in beans, salsa, green chiles and tomato paste and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 25 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Top with sour cream, cilantro leaves, sliced scallions, shredded cheese and jalapeno slices.
