The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 8 lb. approx. fresh turkey (giblets and neck removed)
- 1 gallon (4.5 L) cold water
- 2 cups (480 ml) apple cider
- 1 1/2 cup kosher salt
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
- 10 garlic cloves
- 1 3/4 cups (420 ml) vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) orange juice
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup (60 g) kosher salt ((see notes))
- 3 tablespoons dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 3 chipotles in adobo
- 2 tablespoons yellow pepper paste
- 4 - 6 thin slices of orange ((optinal))
- 4 sage leaves (, finely chopped)
