Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup butter
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (divided)
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Place the butter in a small microwaveable bowl and melt. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined; set aside
- In another mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing just until incorporated. Stir in vanilla. Gradually add the flour mixture mixing just until incorporated. Mix in 2 cups of chocolate chips until evenly combined.
- Scoop the dough using a medium cookie scoop onto the prepared baking sheet placing 2 inches apart.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden and the centers are still soft. Do not overbake!
- Gently press additional chocolate chips into the tops of the warm cookies. Allow to cool on cookie sheets 3 minutes then remove to a wire rack and cool completely.
