Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 lbs. Beef Stew Meat ((lean beef cut into cubes by butcher))
  • 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. Yukon Gold Potatoes ((cut into bite size pieces))
  • 5-6 large Carrots ((peeled and sliced))
  • 1 large Onion (chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder ((or 4 garlic cloves finely diced))
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 28 ounces Beef Broth
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch or Flour

Instruction

  • Place beef stew meat, potatoes, sliced carrots, and chopped onion into a slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour in beef broth, tomato paste, and cornstarch and stir.
  • Heat on low for 8 hours or on high for 6 hours. This beef stew does best cooking low and slow so I suggest cooking it on low for 8 hours.
  • Taste for seasoning and add more salt and pepper as needed.
