Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 8 oz. corkscrew pasta (or your favorite type of pasta shape)
  • 1 cup broccoli (cut into small florets, as well as the stalk sliced thin)
  • 6 oz. steak (sirloin, sliced thin)
  • 1 pkg mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 pkt brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup half and half (can use whole milk for less calories)
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)
  • to taste – salt and pepper
  • butter (or oil if you prefer for sautéing)

Instruction

  • Cook pasta according to box directions and set aside. Half way through cooking the pasta, add the broccoli florets and stems. Allow to cook until lightly softened and the broccoli is bright green. Drain and set aside. Meanwhile, prepare the gravy mix according to the packet instructions and also set aside.
  • Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, and then in a fry pan, sear on both sides. Remove steak and set aside.
  • Add mushrooms and butter to the pan and lightly salt. Sauté mushrooms so they become golden and all the liquid is drawn out and evaporated.
  • Add the steak back to the mushrooms along with the prepared gravy. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the cream and incorporate well.
  • Add the broccoli and pasta and bring back to a simmer until all ingredients are heated through.
  • ENJOY!!
