Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 pound ground beef (I used 80/20)
- ¼ teaspoon each salt and pepper
- 3 cups beef broth
- 14.5 ounces tomatoes (diced)
- 29 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 medium bay leaves
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
Instruction
- In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Season your hamburger meat with salt and pepper.
- Add hamburger meat, onion, and garlic. Cook until beef is no longer pink and the onion is soft and translucent.
- Drain off excess fat, if needed.
- Add beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, thyme, and bay leaves.
- Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in macaroni and continue simmering until pasta is tender, about 10 minutes more.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed and enjoy!
- Remove the bay leaves from the pot and serve.
