Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 500 gram beef round steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 brown onion (200g), sliced thickly
  • 400 gram broccoli florets
  • 2 carrots (360g), sliced thinly
  • 1/4 cup (60g) black bean paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoon finely grated lime rind

Instruction

  • Combine beef, garlic, ginger, juice and sugar in medium bowl. Cover; refrigerate 4 hours.
  • Heat half of the oil in heated large wok; stir-fry beef mixture, in batches, until browned.
  • Heat remaining oil in wok; stir-fry onion, broccoli and carrot about 2 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • Return beef to wok. Add blended paste, sauce, cornflour and the water; cook, stirring, about 2 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens slightly. Serve sprinkled with rind.
