The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 8 ounces dry brown rice noodles (soaked in hot water for 20 to 30 minutes)
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 3/4 pound flank steak or london broil (partially frozen for easier slicing)
  • 4 scallions (cut into 1 1/4" pieces, white and greens separated)
  • 3 medium cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger root (peeled and minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut palm sugar (or natural sugar)
  • 1.5 teaspoons regular soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (rice wine)
  • 2.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon fermented black beans (smashed with knife blade)
  • 8 ounces bean sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons safflower (or canola oil, divided)
