Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- ¼ cup chili powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper ((or less for a milder flavor))
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (**)
- 2 boneless chicken breasts ((cut into cubes))
- 3 green peppers ((cut into thick pieces))
- 3 red peppers ((cut into thick pieces))
- 1 large onion ((cut into thick pieces))
- 10-12 skewers ((soaked for at least 30 minutes))
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instruction
- If you are using wooden skewers, it is important to soak them first. You can soak them overnight or at least 30 minutes before making the kebabs.
- In a small bowl mix together BBQ seasonings.
- Season chicken with BBQ seasonings. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
- To a skewer, rotate adding in chicken, peppers, and onions, repeat until the skewers have been filled about 1/2 way (about 3-4 pieces of each).
- Preheat a grill to 400º Fahrenheit.
- Add skewers to the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, brushing with olive oil several times during grilling. Turn the skewers occasionally and grill until temperature reaches 165ºF internally.
- Serve warm.
