Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 750g lean beef mince
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 tbs parsley, chopped *optional
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbs white vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbs fruit chutney
Instruction
- Meatballs: Combine beef mince, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, curry powder, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Form tablespoons of mixture into balls, place in baking dish and bake at 170C for 30 minutes.
- Pour off any excess fat.
- Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Stir until sugar has dissolved, bring to the boil and remove from heat.
- Pour sauce over meatballs, return to oven and bake a further 15 - 20 minutes, basting occasionally with sauce. if doing these on the chargrill barbecue, simply place in a cast iron pot and cover with a lid. Cook for 15 minutes.
