Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 6 cups rice krispies
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar ((light or dark))
  • 1 banana, (mashed)
  • 2 tablespoons banana flavored rum, (or regular rum (light or dark), or 1 teaspoon rum extract (optional))
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup banana chips
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce

Instruction

  • Place the rice krispies in a large bowl, and set aside.
  • In a medium skillet, stir the butter, brown sugar, banana, rum (if using), and salt together until bubbling.
  • Add the marshmallows, and continue to stir until they have completely melted.
  • Pour the hot mixture over the rice krispies and stir to combine.
  • With oiled hands, press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8x8-pan.
  • Drizzle half the caramel over the top, and press banana chips in for garnish.
  • Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and drizzle with the remaining caramel.
