Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 6 cups rice krispies
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar ((light or dark))
- 1 banana, (mashed)
- 2 tablespoons banana flavored rum, (or regular rum (light or dark), or 1 teaspoon rum extract (optional))
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup banana chips
- 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
Instruction
- Place the rice krispies in a large bowl, and set aside.
- In a medium skillet, stir the butter, brown sugar, banana, rum (if using), and salt together until bubbling.
- Add the marshmallows, and continue to stir until they have completely melted.
- Pour the hot mixture over the rice krispies and stir to combine.
- With oiled hands, press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 8x8-pan.
- Drizzle half the caramel over the top, and press banana chips in for garnish.
- Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and drizzle with the remaining caramel.
