Ingredients
The following ingredients have 9 Servings
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 medium overripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
Instruction
- Prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by covering the bottom with a piece of parchment paper leaving a slight overhanging. Set aside.
- In a small bowl beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the butter, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla. Beat on high for two minutes and set aside.
- In a separate large bowl or the bowl beat the bananas for 1 minute. Add the butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg. Beat for 2 minutes.
- Add the flour, baking soda and baking powder, mix on low until just combined.
- Pour banana cake batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Drop the cheesecake filling by heaping tablespoons over the banana bread batter.
- Drag the tip of a knife through the cheesecake filling to marble it into the banana cake batter.
- Bake in a preheated 350 F. degree oven for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the cake from the oven.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top of the hot cake. Allow chocolate chips to melt for about 10 minutes. Once melted spread with a spatula over the top.
- Allow cake to cool completely and the chocolate to harden before cutting.
- Makes 9 servings.
