Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cups cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrot grated
  • 1 cup onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup corn cob kernels
  • 1/2 cup spring onion
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 2 1/2 tbs cornflour
  • 3 cups oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 candlenuts
  • 2 1/2 coriander roots washed
  • 1 pinch salt *to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper *to taste

Instruction

  • Make a paste with all the ingredients for the paste.
  • Mix the vegetables and the paste together in a bowl.
  • Add the cornflour, some plain flour and few drops of water as needed spoon by spoon making sure the batter is not too runny.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Drop a spoon of the batter in the hot oil to check if it falls apart. If it does just add more flour.
  • Shape and fry in batches. Serve hot with thai chilli sauce.
