The following ingredients have 4 Servings

  • 2 medium onions (chopped)

  • 3 28-oz cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh basil, (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, (chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 lb ground beef ((I used 80/20))
  • 1 lb ziti
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, (cut into 8 equal pieces)
  • Fresh basil, (for serving)
