Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- FOR THE CHICKEN
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch chunks
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tsp of light butter
- FOR THE SWEET AND SAUCE
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly grease a 9X13 in baking dish with cooking spray.
- Toss the chicken with flour or cornstarch.
- Whisk together the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl. Add the cubed chicken to the sauce and pour the ingredients into the prepared baking dish. If you’d like to add any vegetables, now is the time.
- Bake the chicken 30 to 40 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reads 165 degrees.
- Air Fryer Instructions: If you'd like to cook this chicken in the air fryer. Place the cubed chicken pieces in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 390 degrees. Spray them with cooking spray.
- Take them out and toss them in the homemade sauce.
- Serve with rice and your favorite Chinese vegetable sides.
