Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 16 oz Macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder ((or to taste))
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder ((or to taste))
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 4 cups Milk ((whole milk works best for a thick sauce))
  • 6 1/2 cup Sharp cheddar cheese ((shredded))
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Whisk together flour with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Then set aside.
  • Melt butter in a large pot. Whisk in flour then milk, whisking until well combined. 
  • Slowly mix in 3 cups of shredded cheese until smooth and melted. Add macaroni to the pot and mix well until noodles are evenly coated. Add 3 more cups shredded and mix until melted. 
  • Add cheesy noodles to a casserole dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded cheese and bake for 20 minutes. Until cheese is melted. 
  • Optional: top with fresh parsley for garnish
