Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 bread buns (tops sliced off and insides removed.)
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese (divided)
- 4 BurnBrae Eggs (large)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 Tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 cup baby tomato (sliced in half)
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Remove the insides of your bread to a point where the bun can keep its structure while still fit the egg.
- sprinkle half the cheese evenly between the bread bottoms. It should be a small layer that covers the bottoms of the bread.
- Crack the eggs one at a time into a bowl, and gently pour one egg in to each bread.
- Season the eggs with salt, pepper, fresh thymes and sprinkle the tomatoes on top.
- Bake the eggs for 20-25 minutes until the egg white has set.
- For a hard yolk, switch the oven to broiler. Broil the buns for 1-2 minutes.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the eggs and place it back in the oven for 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted.
