Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 1/2 to 2 pound(s) package of cube steaks
  • 1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
  • 2 to 4 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 small onions, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 small package of baby carrots
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) water
  • 1/2 cup(s) beef broth
  • 1 to 2 tablespoon(s) extra all purpose flour
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - oil for browning

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add oil to an oven-safe pan for browning. (I use a Copper Chef sqaure pan with lid). Set aside.
  • Sprinkle both sides of cube steaks with salt. Dredge in flour and place in prepared pan. Add additional flour and brown on both sides. Loosen with spatula. Set aside.
  • Peel and quarter potatoes and onions. Add to cube steaks. Add carrots. Mix water with beef broth and pour over meat and veggies. Sprinkle with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover with lid and bake for about one hour. Serve with a green veggie and roll.
