  • 4 strips thick center cut bacon (high quality)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons dark molasses
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (flavor enhancer, doesn’t make it spicy)
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (plus 2 tbsp. cold water)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pinch ginger
