Ingredients

The following ingredients have 2 Servings
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 2 apples (I like Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup hard apple cider

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  • Core both apples and put them in an oven proof deep dish pan, or aluminum pie plate.
  • Pour apple cider over the apples and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
  • Put one tablespoon of chopped walnuts in the center of each apple and top with half a tablespoon of butter.
  • Bake in the oven for 50 minutes to one hour.
  • Serve in individual bowls or plates and finish by spooning the sauce over the baked apples.
