Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 1 ¾ cups Hood Whole Milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup (pure variety, not pancake syrup*)
  • 1 cup Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, chopped.)
  • ½ cup pecans

Instruction

  • Preheat oven and line a 9" x 9" baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the oats, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Add the extract, eggs, maple syrup, and milk to the dry ingredients and combine.
  • Add in the apples and pecans. Reserve a small amount to top the oatmeal for aesthetic purposes.
  • Pour wet mixture into the parchment-lined pan and add extra apples and pecans to the top of the oatmeal.
  • Bake in the middle oven rack for 40 minutes at 350°F. The oatmeal will be springy in the center, and have a golden-brown coloring.
  • Cool and serve with vanilla yogurt or additional maple syrup (optional).
