Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 8 slices stale french bread
- 1 cup white whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Fresh berries and maple syrup for serving
Instruction
- In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, cream, syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth. Dip bread slices in egg mixture and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Make the topping: In a small bowl, combine all topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over french bread.
- Bake french toast at 375F 15-20 minutes or until topping is golden and french toast is golden. Serve french toast warm with berries and maple syrup. Enjoy!
