Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 8 slices stale french bread
  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Fresh berries and maple syrup for serving

Instruction

  • In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, cream, syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth. Dip bread slices in egg mixture and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Make the topping: In a small bowl, combine all topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over french bread.
  • Bake french toast at 375F 15-20 minutes or until topping is golden and french toast is golden. Serve french toast warm with berries and maple syrup. Enjoy!
