Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, but tails on)
  • 1 pound bacon ((regular thickness))
  • ½ Teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅓ Cup bbq sauce

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a jelly roll pan with foil and place a baking rack on top.
  • Cut bacon in half lengthwise and place on rack so pieces are not touching. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Put chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl and stir to combine.
  • Place shrimp in a medium bowl, sprinkle spices on and toss to coat.
  • Remove bacon from oven and wrap the bacon around the shrimp, spiraling as you go up and ending right below tail.
  • Return pan to oven and bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp and shrimp is cooked.
  • Remove from oven and brush shrimp with bbq sauce
  • Remove shrimp from rack and place on tray . Serve immediately.
