Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 2 lb fresh asparagus (ends trimmed)
  • 12 slices bacon, (uncooked)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground pepper

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  • Wrap one piece of bacon around 3 to 4 asparagus spears. Place in shallow baking dish. Repeat with remaining asparagus and bacon.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over asparagus bundles.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until spears begin to wilt and bacon is cooked.
