Ingredients
The following ingredients have 2 Servings
- 8 slices cheese (I like to mix provolone, mild cheddar, Muenster, etc.)
- 4 wide slices of bread (I love sourdough)
- 5 strips of bacon
- butter (for spreading)
Instruction
- Preheat griddle to about 375 degrees. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Cut bacon into small pieces ranging from the size of a dime to the size of a quarter. Cook on the griddle 5-7 minutes, until brown and starting to crisp. Remove from pan and place on a paper towel. Quickly rinse some of the bacon grease out of the griddle and return to heat.
- Place 2 pieces of bread butter side down on the griddle. Lay 2 pieces of cheese on top. Divide the bacon crumbles in half and place on the cheese. Add 2 more slices of cheese, then other slice of bread, butter side up. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until lightly golden. Flip and cook on the opposite side until golden.
- Remove from heat, slice in half and enjoy!
