Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- ¼ recipe Pizza Dough - see recipe below
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- ½ lb ground beef
- 4 Tbsp Thousand Island Dressing (or substitute pizza sauce)
- 3 Tbsp grated parmesan (can use any cheese you like. )
- 1½ cup grated mozzarella (can use any cheese you like. )
- ¾ cup Warm Water (120°F / 49°C)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp yeast, pizza
Instruction
- IMPORTANT NOTE!! I USE EITHER THE 1000 ISLAND DRESSING OR THE TOMATO SAUCE, DEPENDING ON WHAT WE FEEL LIKE ON THAT NIGHT! I DON'T USE BOTH SAUCES ON THE SAME PIZZA!!
- Start dough in Bread Machine.
- Use frozen bacon or make this bacon, which takes less than 10 minutes.
- Place oil in a large frying pan. Brown ground beef over high heat.
- Make 1000 Island Sauce, use store bought or refer to this recipe.
- When dough is mixed, remove to a floured board. punch dough down and stretch on floured board.
- Sprinkle cornmeal on pizza stone or metal baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Spread thin layer of sauce on dough.
- Sprinkle with half of the cheese, then beef.
- Sprinkle top with bacon bits and then the rest of cheese.
- Bake at 425°F for about 15-18 minutes until cheese and crust are nicely browned and filling is bubbly.
