Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef
- 8 slices Bacon (chopped)
- 1/2 Yellow Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 Cup Ketchup
- 1/4 Cup Tomato Paste
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 Cup Beer
- 1/2 Cup Beef Broth
- 2 Cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
- 6 Hamburger Buns
Instruction
- In a large skillet cook the bacon on medium-high heat until the bacon begins to crisp. Remove the bacon from the pan and drain all but two tablespoons of the fat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until softened, 4 to 5 minutes. Add in the ground beef, lower the heat to medium and cook well, breaking it apart. Cook until well browned, 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add in the ketchup, tomato paste, Worchestershire sauce, dijon mustard, beer and beef broth and stir till well combined. Continue cooking until the sauce starts to evaporate and the mixture becomes "sloppy", about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add in the cheddar cheese and cooked bacon a minute before serving and stir just enough to incorporate the cheese and bacon.
- Serve on a toasted bun topped with cheese and bacon (optional).
