Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 25 baby corns
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • salt (to taste)
  • oil (for deep frying)
  • black salt (to serve)
  • lemon slices (to serve)

Instruction

  • Peel and rinse the babycorns well in water. Slit each babycorn into two vertically.
  • Blanch the slit babycorns in salted water for 5-7 minutes. Drain thoroughly and set aside
  • Heat oil for deep frying. While the oil is getting heated, take the blanched babycorns in a bowl.
  • Add pepper powder, chili powder, gram flour, rice flour and required salt. Toss without adding water.
  • Deep fry in hot oil in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve with a sprinkling of black salt and lemon slices.
