Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 ripe avocado
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 lime (zested and juiced)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- ½ ripe avocado
- 1 pound ground beef (90% lean)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns (for serving)
- Lettuce and tomato slices (for serving)
Instruction
- Make the crema. In a food processor, combine all ingredients until creamy. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside in the fridge until ready to serve.
- Make the burgers. In a large bowl, mash the avocado. Add beef, salt and pepper and mix until combined. Form into 4-5 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Preheat a grill or cast iron pan to medium high heat. Add oil and cook the burgers until seared and golden brown, 4 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter and serve with a bun, reserved avocado crema, and desired toppings.
