Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 1/4 cups finely grated Parmesan (about 2 1/2 ounces. I used the Kraft commercially ground parmesan for this.)
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 leek, white part only
  • 1/2 cup shallots (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsps unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 lbs fresh asparagus (cleaned, trimmed and cut into 1 1/2" pieces)
  • 3 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 3/4 cups evaporated milk
  • grated fresh parmesan for garnish
