  • Oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup chopped Broccoli
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper (cut into strips)
  • 1 Carrot (cut into matchsticks)
  • 1/2 Onion (chopped)
  • 4 - 6 ounces Button Mushrooms (cut in 1/2)
  • 1 teaspoon minced Garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated Orange Rind
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 cup granulated Sugar
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup cooked Rice
  • 1 Green Onion (sliced thin, to garnish)
  • Sliced or slivered Almonds (to garnish)
  • Chow Mein Noodles (to garnish)
