Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 apples (peeled and chopped)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 9 ounces cream cheese, softened ((1 block of cream cheese))
- 1/2 cup sugar $
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons milk (adjust as needed for best consistency)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray with baking spray or grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl combine diced apples, pecans,brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In another bowl mix together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.
- In a large bowl beat together the softened butter and white sugar. Add in one egg at a time, while continuing to run the mixer. Mix in oil and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl sift together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the wet ingredients (butter, sugar, egg mixture) into the dry ingredients and stir to combine.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan; Spoon the cream cheese filling on top of the batter, sing a spatula to even out. Add half the apples and half the brown sugar mixture. Lightly pat apple mixture into batter. Pour the remaining batter over apple layer; top with remaining apples and brown sugar mixture. Lightly pat apples into batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean, for about 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes.
- To make the vanilla glaze, mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Drizzle on top of cake.
