Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cans biscuits
- 1 can fried apples or 3 apples chopped with 2 TSP cinnamon, (chopped)
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar ((make your own - 1/2 cup white sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon))
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp apple juice or milk
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a bundt pan with nonstick spray and set aside.
- Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and place into bundt pan. Add chopped apples to dough and mix with a spatula.
- In a bowl combine 1/2 cup white sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon (or use pre-mixed cinnamon sugar). Sprinkle mixture over the top of the dough/apples, and stir to coat.
- In a small bowl combine melted butter and brown sugar; stir to combine. Pour mixture over the top of the monkey bread and spread over the top.
- Cover the bread loosely with foil, place into the oven. Bake 35 minutes, remove foil and bake 15-20 additional minutes or until the center is no longer doughy. Remove from oven and set aside, allowing to cool for 10-15 minutes. Invert bundt pan on a serving platter and allow monkey bread to come out.
- In a small bowl mix powdered sugar and apple juice. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread, then drizzle the caramel sauce over the bread.
