Ingredients

The following ingredients have 24 Servings
  • 15 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 apple (peeled, cored, and chopped fine (or shredded))
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping

Instruction

  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together cake mix, cinnamon, and allspice.
  • Add in water, apple juice, applesauce, and eggs and beat with an electric mixer until well combined.
  • Gently stir in chopped apple.
  • Divide evenly among 24 lined muffin tins.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • For the frosting, beat butter until fluffy.
  • Add in powdered sugar one cup at a time while beating.
  • Beat in milk, vanilla, and cinnamon and blend until fluffy.
  • Frost cupcakes as desired. Garnish each with a drizzle with caramel.
