Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup regular oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 Tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 5 large apples (peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces)
  • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3/4-1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 Tablespoons all purpose flour

Instruction

  • Spray or butter a 10 inch cast iron skillet (or casserole dish).
  • In a medium bowl, stir together 1/2 cup flour, oats, cinnamon, brown sugar and salt.
  • Add butter and cut in with pastry blender. Set aside.
  • Combine apples, cranberries, sugar, remaining cinnamon and flour and pour into skillet.
  • Sprinkle with topping and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until topping is browned. 
  • Let cool for 20-30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
