  • 3 1/2 tbsp vegan butter (margarine) (softened)
  • 6 tbsp coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 medium-sized apples (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 scant cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1/4 cup raisins ((optional))
  • 3 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom ((optional))
